DOYO Live Mission
Our mission is actually pretty simple. We want to be a 365/24/7 educational resource for marketing, business, design and sales professionals for day-to-day marketing and design education and strategy.
Which is why since January we’ve been pushing content out via our blog 3x’s per week, generally every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8AM and of course syndicating that information via social media. Hopefully you’ve signed up and got some very good tips.
Not only do we want to educate through our blog, but with the event coming up on August 4, 2016.
As we grow the content we will look to bring value to our subscribers through podcast, webinars and in-person workshops, on of course marketing, design and sales topics.
If you’ve not downloaded them, you still can, they are free and many do not require your registration.
Another goal of DOYO is to help stimulate the economy of Youngstown, Ohio and create jobs. Having launched in January as a one man band, we’ve since been able to engage Youngstown Design Works to create the website, hire two part-time people, enlist the services of a blogger and I’m in the process of contracting various service type of people of the day of event which include signage and food. Plus last night we held our first networking night!
DOYO Live Networking Night at The Erie Terminal
It’s a start…Last night was a prime example of how I envisioned this working as we all grow together!
We had a networking party for the speakers, sponsors and evangelists at The Rust Belt Tap Room in the Erie Terminal Building, which is a featured property by locally owned, operated and DOYO Live sponsor NYO Property Group.
I’d highly recommend you give it a shot, you will not be disappointed, it’s a wonderful way to start each day. Plus I am so so appreciative of what Mitch from Friends put together last night, the food is/was amazing!!!
I am so very thankful and appreciative of all that came out in support of the networking night!!!
Being a connector of people is so important to me. Putting people together to help build meaningful relationships, in life and in business. If we can educate, create jobs, figure out ways to get business owners more business and introduce people to one another to create long sustainable relationships, well, I can feel pretty good about it at the end of the day!
It’s why I moved back to Youngstown, Ohio. Jay Z said it best, “coulda been anywhere in the world tonight but wanted to be here with you…” Or something like that…I’m committed to doing my part in the revitalization of Youngstown. No matter if where I lived, Cleveland, New York City or Columbus, Ohio. No matter where I’ve traveled on vacation or on business through just about all 50 states, I’ve always answered the question where I am from very proudly saying, “Youngstown, Ohio!”
Any talk I give pretty much ends up with the same advice, always say thank you. To all those that came out last night to the networking event, signed up for our blog, newsletter, liked us on social media, share or comment on our posts, sponsored our event, signed up to attend DOYO, speakers, sponsors, community support…I am working my butt off to make sure this event is world class, you’ve got my word on that and in return I cannot thank you enough for your support. There’s still a lot of work to do but in the meanwhile, hope to see you on August 4, 2016, if not get all the free content you can from our site and THANK YOU!!!!
