doyospeakers_0003_Layer 17The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and everyone knows that fireworks and cooking out are staples for this patriotic holiday. In spirit of the 4th, we’re sitting down with Danny Catullo from Catullo Prime Meats. Aside from owning Youngstown’s premiere source for high quality meats, Danny is also a breakout session leader for DOYO Live on August 4th.

Danny is a huge advocate of digital marketing and has mastered harnessing its power to help grow his business. He’ll be showing DOYO attendees how to develop a dedicated online following for your brand, as well as tips and tricks for using Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.

Best of all, Danny will also give the inside scoop on how to grill meat to perfection. Is your mouth watering yet?

Without further ado, here are 6 quick questions with Danny Catullo:

1. What is your favorite social media platform and why?

Twitter. I love finding interesting long reads on business, sports and, of course, cooking

2. What is your favorite thing about living in the Youngstown area?

The people. I’ve been lucky to travel to many cities across this country and it’s rare to have such a great concentration of interesting and genuinely kind people. I’m always floored by the overwhelming support I get for my many crazy ideas.

3. Are you currently reading any books, magazines, etc.?

Jim Collins- From Good to Great– I love looking at commonalities of successful companies (big or small) and applying them to my ventures. Also anything from Malcolm Gladwell.

4. What are some popular picks at Catullo for 4th of July?

There is not much more American food than All Beef Hot dogs, Jumbo Artisan Burgers and Juicy Steak and Chicken Kabobs with fresh veggies. Of course, any bbq that wants to include St. Louis Ribs, Kansas City Rubbed Chicken and smoked sausages has my vote too!

5. Chicken or Steak?

WHY DO I HAVE TO CHOOSE! Ok… If I’m on my death bed… I would choose…. BACON   (like how I dodged that one?)

6. What made you want to get involved with DOYO Live?

I have a passion for sharing the knowledge I’ve gained through experience and my mentors. I’ve learned you can have an amazing product and/or service but if you don’t know how to effectively market it using the various digital platforms, you are putting yourself behind the 8 ball. We are a community of business leaders and the more information we can share with each other, the stronger our respective businesses will be. Oh, and I love Dennis Schiraldi and I usually just say yes to whatever he asks of me 🙂
